For many centuries, man has thought of himself as “god” over all the creatures that inhabit the earth. All that has caused us is a hole in the Ozone layer, global warming as well as limited natural resources. Having adapted from the simple life into a more “civilised” lifestyle, being able to walk upright on two feet, having been gifted with opposable thumbs, that enable us to eat with a knife and fork, and having a brain, which is a network within itself, why wouldn’t we think that we are above all these animals?
