The aim of this manifesto is to recognize what high architecture had previously suppressed, by seeing the world from within rather than above. At present there is a widening issue as a gap opens up between the image of architecture and the reality of its making of place and occupation. The future of architecture gives us an opportunity, that we are presented with in the 21st century. It has become too often in our modern societies that architecture becomes simply a superficial discipline, with many contemporary buildings designed to create an impression through our globalized media. We are at risk of diluting our regional traditions, through lack of knowledge and a dismissal of cultural context.
